Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join our growing client. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, preferably holding a CPA designation, with a strong focus on management accounting, cost accounting, and financial forecasting. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly operations, to optimize financial performance and drive strategic decision-making. The Plant Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing effective controls and processes.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Analysis:Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and other financial reports for management review.Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.Cost Accounting and Inventory Control:Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and controls to accurately track and analyze manufacturing costs.Collaborate with operations teams to monitor inventory levels, analyze inventory variances, and implement strategies to optimize inventory management.Forecasting and Budgeting:Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop detailed budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making and achieve financial targets.Capital Expenditure Management:Partner with operations teams to evaluate capital expenditure proposals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial goals.Monitor capital spend projects, track ROI, and provide financial analysis to support investment decisions.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Establishment:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business objectives and drive operational excellence.Develop reporting mechanisms to track KPIs and provide regular performance updates to management.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.Identify financial risks and opportunities for process improvements, implementing controls as necessary.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.Proven experience as a Plant Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of management accounting principles, cost accounting methods, and financial analysis techniques.Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
