Job Description Summary National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This maintenance mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, reading operations manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions. Responsibilities Assist in installation, set up, and maintenance of equipmentRead blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawingsOperate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasksMaintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of equipment and work areas by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulationsOther responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Requirements Minimum high school diploma or equivalentStrong mechanical aptitudeAt least one year of industrial maintenance experience preferredAbility to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team membersKnowledge of mechanical systems and ability to diagnose and fix problemsKnowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, air and fluid valves, solenoids, motors, starters, breakers, pumps, material flow, limit switches, welding, and torches is a plusKnowledge of plastics extrusion processing is a plusAbility to lift up to 75 lbs periodically throughout the day Compensation The hourly pay rate is $25 - $35/hr What CRH Offers You Highly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRH CRH has a long and proud heritage.
