As we plan for the future, we are seeking a motivated CPA and Tax Accountant to join our team with the ultimate goal of transitioning into ownership and continuing our legacy of success.Job Description:Position: CPA and Tax Accountant with Succession PlanResponsibilities:Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.Conduct tax planning and consulting services for clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimizing their financial strategies.Provide guidance and support to clients on various accounting and financial matters, including financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.Perform audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements, maintaining accuracy and integrity throughout the process.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop tailored solutions to their unique accounting and tax challenges, fostering long-term relationships built on trust and expertise.Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, communicating relevant updates to clients and implementing necessary adjustments to their financial plans.Assist in the management and supervision of junior staff, providing mentorship and guidance to support their professional development.Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client meetings, to expand the firm's client base and contribute to its growth.Engage in strategic planning discussions with the current owner and senior leadership team to facilitate a seamless transition of ownership and ensure continuity of service for clients.Demonstrate a commitment to upholding the firm's values of integrity, professionalism, and client satisfaction in all interactions and engagements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA certification required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and planning.Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively to client situations.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting and tax issues.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with tax preparation software preferred.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues at all levels.Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff members.Entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to take on increasing levels of responsibility, leading to eventual ownership of the firm.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Residency in or willingness to relocate to the Northern Indiana area.If you are a motivated and experienced CPA and Tax Accountant with a passion for client service and a desire to take the next step in your career, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team and become a future leader in our firm.
