**RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE**Seeking a licensed Funeral Director and lead Arranger who is skilled in creating personalized celebrations of life to join our team at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home & Crematory in the Rockport / Port Aransas area. You will be responsible for caring for the deceased in a respectful manner while performing a variety of tasks including personalized funeral arrangements, embalming (if licensed), removals and transfers, cosmetology, dressing, hair styling, and any other preparation required for the deceased. The successful candidate will have a current license in the applicable state and knowledge of the current regulations related to the funeral industry.Essential Functions and CompetenciesMeet with client families to listen, educate, and arrange highly personalized funeral services to ensure their experience with the business is of the highest qualityEnsures every client family is presented with all service and merchandise optionsContributes to the overall efficiency of the location by maintaining open and effective communication and maintaining accurate and timely client filesActs to improve market share through participation in community events, groups and/or organizations and other community relationships as assigned by your supervisorCarries out other projects/duties as assigned i.e. car washing, building/equipment repair, pre-need arrangement planningWorks on-call/first call, in rotation as assigned i.e. phone, face to face, at the hospital, hospice, residenceInitial transfers of decedents, embalms, dresses, cosmeticizes, caskets and prepares deceased on as needed basis (per appropriate licensing) to the instructions obtained from the familyCompletes tasks and details resulting from the Arrangement ConferenceEnsures proper paperwork, including permits and certificates are completed timely and in accordance with relevant laws and regulationsConducts and attends funeral services regularlyLead all post service follow-up as neededRequired Education and ExperienceCurrent Texas Funeral Director license or ability to reciprocateCurrent Embalmer License is preferred but not required2+ years of funeral industry experienceUnderstanding of the services and products availableProfessional communication skillsExperience handling sensitive situations in a professional mannerKnowledge of current federal, state and local regulations related to the funeral industry
