Job Description:

Seasonal position - May through Sept - Outdoor pool Schedule: Days, Evenings, Weekends - 10:00 am - 8:00 pm Per Diem positionPrimary Duties & Essential FunctionsMonitor, maintain and utilize sound working knowledge of all program standards (OCFS, COA, CSE, and HIPPA).Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment.Contact emergency medical personal and agency administration in case of a serious injury.Instruct and provide all swimming participants with safety precaution information.Patrol and monitor swimming pool area to ensure compliance and safety measures are up kept.Maintain quality of the pool water by testing chemical levels.Complete and maintain records of water and pool area conditions, emergency medical treatments performed, and other relevant incident information.Warn swimmers of inclement weather, unsafe areas and illegal conduct.Inspect recreational equipment for the pool area to ensure safety.As this of duties and responsibilities are not intended to be all-inclusive, other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as business needs require.Required Education, Knowledge, And SkillsHigh School Diploma/GED.Must be First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.Must be Certified Lifeguard.Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills abilities.Pay: $25.00 Per HourVanderheyden is committed to the Sanctuary Model - a blueprint for clinical and organizational change which, at its core, promotes safety and recovery from adversity through the active creation of a trauma-informed community.
