We're hiring a Senior Accountant directly to our client that's located in Columbus, OH!We are looking for an accurate, meticulous Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting functions, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will lead accounting projects and provide recommendations based on insights from the numbers.The Senior Accountant is a critical role ensuring integrity of financial data through reconciliations, reporting, and oversight. This position serves as a lead for the accounting team and key finance contact for cross-functional senior leaders.ResponsibilitiesOwn the monthly close process including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and financial roll forwardsPrepare month-end, quarterly and year-end financial statementsAnalyze revenue and expenditure accounts to provide financial insightLead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditorsResearch technical accounting issues and recommend solutionsImprove processes by assessing effectiveness and implementing enhancementsCoach and mentor Staff Accountants to develop skillsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years experience in a senior accountant roleCPA credential preferredExcellent understanding of accounting systems and GAAPStrong leadership abilitiesKeen analytical mindset able to derive financial insightsExcellent written/verbal communication and presentation skillsHighly organized with great attention to detail
