We currently offer opportunities for a hybrid/flex-hour work schedule.Our client is in immediate need of a Senior Civil Engineer for our Mineola, LI Office.ResponsibilitiesConduct a broad spectrum of civil engineering analysis and design tasks, covering zoning analysis, site planning, site stormwater management, utility planning and layout, parking analysis and layout, vehicle maneuvering analysis, pavement, and grading design.Lead the coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards.Conduct site investigations to observe and document existing conditions.Complete and review design calculations, assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.Supervise the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications, and lead coordination with other design disciplines to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering services.Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects.Utilize a diverse range of technical and project management skills across projects of varying scales, from small site restorations to large-scale new constructions.Engage with existing clients and pursue new clients to support the growth of the business across LiRo's service lines.Assist in the preparation of technical content for proposals for engineering services.Attend industry and business development functions as a representative of the firm.Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.7+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.NY PE certification required.Ability to provide guidance to junior-level engineers.Understanding and application of local code requirements.Experience in using various structural analysis software.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines.AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required.We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package, and a positive work environment.
