Job Title : Electronic WorkerLocation: Indianapolis, Indiana 46219, USAPosition Type: 8 Months Contract (Possible extension) Pay Rate : $18hr - $22.04hr on w2 with Benefits Education:High School degree or GED equivalent.Job Description:Performs any combination of the following tasks through verbal or detailed written instructions to manufacturedisassemblereworkrepair surface mount (including J-leaded devices, 0402 or smaller devices, fine pitch, BGA, etc.) andor through-hole printed circuit card assemblies, flex circuits, sub-assemblies, andor electronic mechanical assemblies.Duties include (but not limited to) board andor component preparation, printed circuit board stuffing andor assembly, touch up, manually soldering components, box-building. Perform modifications or upgrades or removal andor replacement of electro-mechanical, surface mount (including J-leaded devices, 0402 or smaller devices, fine pitch, BGA, etc.), through-hole components.Tends machines that solderdesolder, press, shape, wind, or place component parts. Cleans and deglosses parts using cleaning devices, solutions, and abrasives.Preforms intermediate assembly tasks, such as conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.May perform informal, self in-process checks on manufactured items prior to submitting to authorized formal inspection andor test personnel for determining product validation and final acceptance.May assemble cabinets, chassis, consoles, or similar devices and with manualelectronic or electro-mechanical equipment.May assist other related job classifications when directed. Required to interpret process routings, wiring diagrams and similar production planning documents or drawings.Should be familiar with the collection and analysis of data for Statistical Process Controls.Performs other required activities, as assigned.Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements.May perform as a member or leader of a functional andor cross-functional team.Experience Required:Two years' experience in assemblyreworkrepair of electronic equipment including circuit cards with surface mount and through-hole components is desired but not mandatory.Knowledge Required:A practical knowledge of such as: electronic component identification, ability to work from routing instructions, and interpretation of mechanical and electrical schematics is required.Previous training in industry soldering and assembly standards (IPC- 610, IPC-620, IPC- 7711, andor J-STD-001) and experience in Electronic Worker Cable & Chassis, and Electronic Worker Circuit Card positions is preferred.Solder verification for fine pitch is required including someall of IPC 7711 Rework procedures.Essential PhysicalMental Requirements:Maximum weight to be handled will be aligned with Environmental Safety and Health governing documentation.The majority of the work is to be performed in a sitting position.May occasionally perform duties in a standing, kneeling or squatting position.Good eyesight and ability to distinguish color is necessary.Special Requirements:The position requires the use of solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds.Use of visual aids may be required such as magnification lenses, binocular microscopes, and specific personal safety equipment. Secret security clearance may be required.Ability to achieve and maintaining appropriate solder certifications is a requirement of the position.
